When I first heard the Anix a few years ago I thought that I was lost in a time dilation that planted me just outside Oingo Boingo’s practice space back in 84’. The Anix are a four piece nu-wave pop act that hails from L.A. This is the bands 6th release and it stays true to their retro new wave vibe mixed with hints of harder alternative rock and shaken with catchy dance floor electronica. Starting from the head bobbing opener track “Through You” clear till the finale “Decide” one finds oneself wanting to pull out the tight neon shirt, tight black pants, hair gel and get all jazzed up just like it was the 80’s all over again. This whole album is a neo-wave explosion that will keep the populous of terra moving their feet for years to come.
