Violently crooning their way into the Horror Rock scene, the American
Werewolves are packing a wallop of high-energy induced Horror Punk Rock
within this debut. Their love of B-Movies and violence showing in each and
every song with "Woah's" and "ohooo's" as well as "go's" and so on.
It honestly took me a few listens of the album to get into them myself, a lot of the songs sounding pretty similar to each other. That is not a bad thing of course. There are a few songs however, that are standing out from the rest for me! Such titles include, "The Undead", "Why Monster Why", "Beware", and finally "We Won't Stay Dead", are amongst my favorite of this compilation. I do see a lot of progress and more talent coming from this band in future albums, but I don't see much difference within each song on this particular one as previously mentioned to really get me into it. If you like the songs on their web site then that is pretty much what you will be getting on this CD! It is still a really enjoyable listen, being a B-Movie Fan myself, but I feel they need a little more originality within each song. |
