Battery Cage Single [Single] By: Hydro |
Catchy hooks and groove laden drums have got me seeking out as much Battery Cage as possible. This duo have been down a bumpy road over the past 10 years but it seems that all it has done was make them experts in putting that bump into the dance floor crowd. This new single from this magnesium hot crew’s forthcoming sophomore release entitled “Single” is a step up the ladder. Though, it seems that every release just gets more and more musically delectable. Now this release from Metropolis Records is less of a single and more of an EP, but I could say that about 99% of all electronic bands due to the large amount of remixes and extra tracks. Battery Cage offer up the main track and a remix of that particular track. Plus, a short ambient piece called “All My Friends Hate Me Now” that has hints of Astral Projection through out its 48 seconds. That transitions into a Remix of their track “Hustler” that tugs at your short and curlys when the guitar fires. Once the automatic fire reminiscent guitar finally cools its vents BC offer up a short atmospheric piano piece that calms the soul. This is definitely for fans of Infomatik (newer albums), Covenant and Imperative Reaction. With these five tracks at my finger tips I’ll be seething for the new album to be released in the coming month. Battery Cage has won a new fan in me. If you’re into a mix of trance, break beats, catchy vocal hooks and a more ethereal industrial edge then check out Battery Cage.
