Of Infinity's latest release, "The Essence Of Infinity", is one of the most intriguing cd's to fall on my desk as of late, specifically due to the fact that they are unsigned. I've never heard a band this good that wasn't signed -- it's amazing!! In the opening ballad, "The Voice Without", showcases Vocalist, Alessandra Zinicola's angelic voice. Zinicola is very reminiscent of the bands Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, Epica and Evanescence,and this my friends, is a plus! Zinicola also outdoes herself on piano and synths. The song structure seems to have been built around her vocals. The rhythm section stands out throughout the entire track, with booming double bass licks and fast bass lines. In the epic, "Shadow Of A Lie", Of Infinity shows you how to rock through lovely orchestrations, crunchy riffs and astonishing kick pedal work. The last track "It's Only Forever" highlights Zinicola's piano playing abilities, the song flows on the piano riffs alone. The guitar tone has a warm rich tone to it and the drum work is immaculate!! This is a thought provoking ballad about this wretched world and the greedy people that fill it.

Of Infinity has made a lasting impression on me. I look forward to seeing them signed to a major label in the very near future. The band is absolutely brilliant! Century Media, The End Records, Road Runner, beware -- it's only a matter of time before you bow down..
