With a name like T-Virus, it's easy to see the link to Resident Evil. What first got you into Resident Evil and how'd you decide on the band name?

Patrick: Well, I loved the Resident Evil video game when it first came out- the feeling, the story, the horror and the zombies, but first we were thinking of naming the band "The Infected" but quickly realized that it was already taken, so if I remember correctly, my brother Silent Mike was the one who came up with T-virus.

As far as the band line up is concerned, you guys have a pretty interesting set up. Along side of Daniel, T-Virus consists of two pairs of brothers. How did everyone meet and eventually play in the same band?

Seppo and my self are old archenemies; we have played in different bands since 1993, So I got to know Marcus thru Seppo and the other way around. In 1996 Seppo and I hooked up with Daniel and the three of us started Wasted together, then when we got tired of Wasted around 2002, we started My Own Kingdom together with Mike and Marcus.

After playing with Wasted and My Own Kingdom, you settled with T-Virus. Do you feel more comfortable playing horror rock as compared to your previous endeavors? What do you think the biggest difference in your music is?

Well I was the songwriter for Wasted and My Own Kingdom, so I was pretty comfortable in those two bands as well, but I really like playing music with these guys we're all like brothers!! ?? (wait a minute we are brothers) anyway, there is not that big of a difference between all bands. Wasted was a action rock band, straight rock n roll and My Own Kingdom was a Goth-metal band with a lot lyrics about death etc., so I guess you could say that T-Virus is a punk mix of both bands.

There are numerous influences in T-Virus, but the most noticeable to me is metal. Is the band a big fan of heavy metal? Who are some of your favourite metal artists?

Ok? We all like different bands, but I'm not that into metal, but of curse I like some bands, like Entombed & At The Gates (from Sweden), Him etc... I'm really more into bands like Ramones, Misfits, AFI & Turbonegro.

What is the biggest change since you released your Need to Feed demo in 2003? How has the band evolved since then?

I think we all have grown in every possible way, we are tighter, more secure of our role in the band, better musicians and simply a better band.

Blood and Guts Records just recently released your debut album Horror Thir13teen. It maybe too early to ask, but what kind of feedback have you received on the album?

Yeah, maybe it's too early to say, but we have only gotten positive response thus far, from people that bought our album. I hope it will continue that way.

Are there any plans on touring the U.S. in support of Horror Thir13teen?

Yeah blood and guts records are planning a U.S. tour for us and it looks like it will be a West cost tour from California to the state of Washington or something like that. I'll let you know when I got more details.

Honestly, Sweden is not known as a hot spot for horror rock. What do you plan on doing to change that?

We'll beat the shit out of 9 million Swedes and force them to listen to Horror Thir13teen! That will get the job done! Honestly I really don't know, maybe hijack a radio station or something.

Obviously, horror movies have a huge impact on the lyrics. What horror movie(s) do you get most of your ideas from?

I don't really have a specific horror movie that I get ideas from I just enjoy all kind of horror. All that gore, blood & guts just makes me wanna kill… NO!!?? I mean write music.

If you were going to be put on an island for 1 year and could only bring 3 albums, what would they be and why?

Oh a hard one.. let's see Entombed - "To ride shoot straight and speak the truth" -'cause it's one of the coolest death metal albums ever made. Misfits - "walk among us"do I really need to say why? MISFITS!!!! Ok? HIM – "Razorblade romance"another sweet record, if I would spend a whole year on an island I would need a record to cry to, when my dark heart would feel broken and lonely.

What T-Virus song would you say best overall describes the band? (be it the music, lyrics, or just overall message of the song.)

I think I have to go with "Resident Evil" then… 'cause we're singing about the T-virus, but then again I get inspiration from all sorts of music, so you can expect a lot of different music influences in our songs and I thing that is what makes T-virus and not a specific song.

Finally, if you could give one piece of advice to your fans, what would it be?

Forget about god, Be your own master & don't take crap from anybody and get your self a copy of HORROR THIR13TEEN!
